Stuffed cabbage

Origin of dish:  Germany
Type of cooking:  Oven
 
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 90 minutes
 
Ingredients (serves 4):


Method:

1-Line the bottom of an oven dish or casserole with large cabbage leaves.

2-Lightly steam the rest of the cabbage, then chop of blend. Mix with minced meat, chopped onion, salt, pepper and marjoram. Slice the bacon and add to mixture.

3- Put mixture on top of cabbage leaves, cover with more cabbage leaves.

4- Cover and cook slowly at 400°F (205°C). top with knobs of butter and melt in oven before serving.

Advice: Try serving with mashed potato and gravy.
This is a great recipe for building up weight after illness.
