Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients (serves 2):

    4oz vegetable suet
    8oz self-raising flour
    golden syrup
    water to mix
    vegetable oil

Method:

1-Mix suet and flour together.

2-Add just enough water to form a fairly firm, non-sticky mixture.

3-Take small amounts of mixture and roll in palms of hands to form balls.

4-Heat oil in deep fat fryer.

5-When temperature has been reached, lower dough balls into oil.

6-Fry until crisp and golden brown.

7-Serve with golden syrup.
Advice: Size of the balls should be the same as when you put the tips of the forefinger and thumb together.
