Chocolate and apple madeleines

Ingredients (serves 5):


Method:

1. Preheat oven to 220°C (Gas Mark 7/8).

2. Break 150g of chocolate into pieces and microwave with butter on medium (500W) for 2 minutes.

3. Add the egg, sugar and flour. Mix and add baking powder. Cut the rest of the squares of chocolate in half.

4. Peel the apples and cut into small cubes. Add to the mixture.

5. Place the mixture in a greased madeleine mould then place the half-squares of chocolate, pushing them in slightly. Cook for 9 to 10 minutes in oven.
