Method:

Quick croque-monsieur (toasted sandwich)



Cut the ham and cheese down to the same size as the bread.
Butter bread, then place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each piece.
Add pepper.
Close each sandwich and butter top.
Take a bowl and mix the milk and grated cheese. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Spread on top of each sandwich.
Put in an oven preheated to 425°F(220°C), for 10 minutes, until cheese has melted and is golden.
Serve with salad.
