Perfect boiled eggs

Ingredients (serves 6):

    6 eggs (or one each)
    Toasted bread of choice
    Butter

Method:

Eggs can be boiled in two ways:

1- Bring a pan of enough water to cover the Eggs by a couple of centimetres to a simmer, then lower the Eggs in with a teaspoon. Simmer for 6 or 7 minutes depending on how set you want the white to be.

2- Place the eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to the boil. Reduce to a simmer as soon as they reach boiling-point, cook for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on how you like your eggs.

Butter your bread and cut it into strips for dipping, or make toast.
Advice: Use very fresh eggs.

To avoid cracking, let the eggs warm up to room temperature from the fridge, before putting them into the water.

Use an egg timer for best results.
