Apple and raisin crumble

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 35 minutes
 
Ingredients (serves 8):


Method:

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Peel, core and slice apples.
Arrange in an oven dish.
Sprinkle with raisins.
Mix the nuts, flour, sugar and cinnamon together in a large bowl. Add the butter and rub in with fingertips until mixture has consistency of breadcrumbs, then rub together roughly to create larger lumps.
Sprinkle on apples and raisins and put in oven for 35 minutes, until golden on top.
Serve hot, with ice cream, cream or custard.
Advice: This dessert goes very well with a cup of tea.
