Ingredients (for 4 people) :
-800g minced beef made into four pattiesMethod: Whisk the egg whites, and combine with the beef, salt and pepper. Mould into four large patties.
-2 egg whites
-2tsp of salt
-4 slices Jarlsberg
-4 large hamburger buns
-1 red onion, sliced
-iceberg lettuce leaves (1/2 lettuce head)
-2 tomatoes, sliced
-1 gherkin (dill pickle), sliced
-mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard (to taste)
Fry or grill the burgers for about 3 minutes on each side. During the final minutes place a slice of Jarlsberg on each burger.
Heat the buns in a toaster or in the frying pan/grill. Spread mayonnaise, a little mustard and ketchup on the bottom half of the buns. Add the burger, then layer lettuce, gherkin, tomato slices and red onion on top. Put the other half of the bun on top and serve.
