Nordic Burger with Beetroot Salsa, Red Onion and Whole-grain Mustard Mayo

Type of cooking:  Hob
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ingredients (for 4 people) :

    -800g ground beef
    -4 burger buns
    -salt and black pepper
    -6 sprigs thyme

    For the beetroot salsa:
    -100g pickled beetroots
    -30g capers
    -1 red onion

    For the whole-grain mustard mayo:
    -3 tbsp mayonnaise
    -2 tbsp whole-grain mustard
    -15g roasted hazelnuts


Start by making the salsa. Chop and peel the red onion, dice the beetroot and then add the capers, mix together and season.

Next finely chop the hazelnuts and then put in a bowl with the mayonnaise and mustard. Mix until nicely combined, then set aside.

Finely chop the thyme and blend into the ground beef before dividing into 4 burger shaped portions.

Season with salt and pepper.

Heat the oil in a pan and then fry the burgers for about 2 minutes on each side or until cooked to your preference.

Warm the burger buns and spread with the mustard mayonnaise and build the burger with your patties and the beetroot on top. Perfect!
