Savoury cake

Origin of dish:  UK
Type of cooking:  Oven
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 50 minutes
Ingredients (serves 6):

    3 eggs
    225g self raising flour
    100 ml white wine
    150ml oil
    diced ham
    chopped pistacio nuts
    cheese, grated, to taste


1-Sieve the flour into a bowl
2-Add the beaten eggs.
3-Add the oil and wine.
4-Mix the pastry well, making sure you add lots of air.
5-Add the cheese, nuts and ham. You can also add olives and anything else you can think of.
6-Pour into a greased cake tin.
7-Put in oven for 45 minutes, at 350°F (180°C.
8-Once cooked, a knife inserted into the middle of the cake should come out clean. Leave to settle for a few minutes and serve.
Advice: Try varying the recipe a little, with olives, feta or tomatoes, or replace the ham with red pepper or other vegetables for a vegetarian option.
