Origin of dish:  Europe
Type of cooking:  Oven
Preparation time: 40 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients (serves 6):


Whip the yolks and sugar together.

Whip the whites until very firm.

Add the yolks and sugar, vanilla, melted butter and flour gently.

Grease a large square of greaseproof paper with butter, spread the mixture thinly onto it and bake for 8-10 minutes at 220 degrees C.

Remove and place on a damp towel. Roll gently with the chocolate or jam filling and leave to set.
Advice: Chocolate is particularly yummy with this recipe as it half melts and can be re-heated in the microwave as well if you wish. Apricot jam is a refreshing filling too!
