Chocolate chestnut cake

Ingredients (serves 8):


In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar and baking powder together. Make a well in the centre and add the melted butter, egg yolks, yoghurt and chestnut spread. Stir firmly.

Whip the egg whites to a soft peak and add to the mixture.

Grease a cake tin and pour in the mixture.

Bake for 60 minutes at 180°C (Gas Mark 6).

While it's cooking, prepare the icing.

In a saucepan, add the chocolate (cut into pieces) and the cream. Leave to melt over a low heat, stirring constantly. The mixture should have a smooth consistency and not be too runny.

Once cooked, take the cake out of the tin and pour the hot icing over the top. Leave to cool so it becomes crunchy.
