Tomato, chilli and Serrano ham canapés

Origin of dish:  Italy
Type of cooking:  Oven
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients (serves 4):


1. Pre heat oven to 180 C
2. Slice the ciabatta into small canapé size bases
3. Place on a baking tray, drizzle with olive oil and bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until crusty. Remove and let cool.
4. Heat the tomato and chilli sauce in a shallow pan and simmer until reduce by half. It should have thick ketchup like consistency.
5. Spread a little tomato and chilli sauce on each of the canapés. Place a basil leaf and top with some Serrano ham.
