Homemade milk jelly

Preparation time: 75 minutes
 
Ingredients (serves 4):


Method:

1. Gently heat the milk, sugar and lemon rind until the sugar has dissolved.
2. Leave to cool.
3. Soften the gelatine by standing it in the cold water in a small heat-proof container, then stand the container in a pan of boiled water and stir until dissolved.
4. Gently stir the gelatine into the cooled milk mixture, then strain through a sieve into a basin.
5. Stir occasionally until the mixture thickens.
6. Pour into a bowl or mould and leave to set in the fridge for about an hour.
