Ingredients (serves 6):Method: Peel bananas and cut in half.
Prepare the batter, using the flour, baking powder, sugar, egg and milk then set aside for an hour.
Flavour with grated lemon zest, a pinch of cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg.
Dip the pieces of banana into the batter, making sure they are well-covered, then fry in oil for a few minutes until golden.
